My Story

Music was in DEBSTER's blood from a young age. When she was about four years old, she sang second voice with her older sister during a performance at primary school and the moment she touched a piano key at grandma's, the world of music opened up for her. DEBSTER was born in Enschede and raised as a child of Moluccan and Indo-Dutch parents.

Singer DEBSTER studied at the Hilversum Conservatory and then sang in commercial bands, bands with her own work and solo. She has traveled all over the world with this.

Music producer: During her travels, DEBSTER always carries her music producer set with her, consisting of a laptop, interface, keyboard and recording microphone. Together with her husband Ron Lammers, sound engineer, she has her own production studio at home and writes music daily, also for other artists. She also gives the workshop 'Songwriting with an Awarded Producer' there, in which she receives guests from all over the world. In this way, DEBSTER has now, within a year, developed very quickly to be 'state of the art' by, among other things, following intensive courses from various songwriters-producers: Ryan Tedder (One Republic), Charlie Puth, Louis Bell (producer of Post Malone), Blanks and Kygo.

DEBSTER always gets rave reviews for her original songs and her beautiful, warm and soulful singing. From reactions like “goosebumps” to a laugh or a tear. During the try-out of her latest Release 'Er Niet Meer Tegen' the audience sang and danced along happily.

Award: DEBSTER was named 'Best Talent' Dutch Writers Camp by BUMA in December 2009.

Music by DEBSTER, under the name Debora Hulskamp, has been used in TV series such as Riverdale, Better Things and Graves. She also composes music for Escaperooms, such as Hal Der Koningen and Escaperoom de Bagijnetoren of Delftescape in Delft.

With DEBSTER you can also book a Songwriting workshop. Together with her you will write a song within a period of 3 hours and record the brand new song in her music studio. 'Songwriting with an Awarded Producer'
