General Terms and Conditions of Debster Music School (Lesson season 2024-2025)
1. Registration and Enrollment
You can sign up for a trial lesson or music lessons online through our website www.debstermusic.com. Only individuals aged 21 and older can register directly. Minors must be registered by their legal guardian.
Enrollment is possible throughout the entire academic year. We will do our best to accommodate preferred days and times, but we cannot guarantee this. If it is not possible to arrange a suitable lesson schedule, no charges will be applied. After registration, you will receive a confirmation email from the instructor.
By registering, you agree to pay the required amount and accept our terms and conditions. If you register later in the academic year, the fee will be adjusted based on the remaining weeks of lessons.
2. Private Lessons (Individual Music Lessons)
After processing your registration, the instructor will contact you within 48 hours to arrange a lesson schedule.
3. Short Courses
Students who register for a short course will receive additional information by email no later than one week before the course starts. You can cancel the course free of charge up to one week before the course begins. After this period, cancellation is no longer possible.
4. Punch Cards
With a punch card, you can schedule lessons flexibly in consultation with your instructor. Lessons must be taken within the current academic year. Unused punches expire at the end of the academic year and cannot be transferred to the next season.
The terms and conditions for the 5- or 10-lesson punch card are as follows:
-
Cancellation due to illness or urgent reasons must be done at least 24 hours in advance via email or WhatsApp to the instructor. If you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the lesson may be deducted from the punch card.
-
In case of illness or other unavoidable reasons for instructor absence, the lesson will be rescheduled as soon as possible. The lesson will be made up at another time in consultation with the instructor.
-
Unused punches expire at the end of the school year and cannot be carried over to the next year.
-
No refunds will be given for unused punches.
5. Payment
Payment for punch cards or individual lessons is arranged with Debster Music. Payment can be made in cash or via Tikkie. You can also choose to pay by invoice, which must be fully paid within the specified timeframe. Payment in two installments is possible with Debster Music's approval.
By registering, you are committing to the full payment for the course or lesson fees for the season. If payment is not made on time, Debster Music reserves the right to deny access to the lessons.
6. Instructor Absence
In case of instructor absence due to illness or other urgent reasons, this will be communicated to the student via WhatsApp or email. The lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed time.
7. Student Absence
If a student is unable to attend a scheduled lesson for any reason, the lesson fee remains due. This applies to all lessons, trial lessons, courses, and workshops.
8. Termination of Lessons
If you wish to cancel your lessons, please send an email to contact@hullmusic.com or call Debster Music. Upon termination of lessons, there may be a notice period (e.g., one month). This will always be discussed at the time of termination.
